The Pope Benedict Institute intends to promote interreligious dialogue in accordance with the spirit of the Second Vatican Council, in particular the declaration Nostra Aetate. The Institute stands for the promotion of mutual understanding, respect and collaboration between Catholics and the followers of other religious beliefs. We also encourage studying various religious traditions and the promotion of people dedicated to the cause of interfaith dialogue. We arrange meetings and publish journals in order to introduce the Catholic Church and its interreligious interventions to other religious traditions.
